After a serious highway accident left me in the hospital with both legs in casts, I thought the worst was behind me. I was wrong. I couldn\u2019t move without help, and every moment was a painful reminder of how helpless I\u2019d become.<\/p>\n

Three days later, my father arrived with an unbelievable demand.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour sister\u2019s ceremony is in two weeks. You will be there.\u201d<\/p>\n
