Actor and playwright Tom Noonan has died at 74. He passed away on Feb. 14, with the news first shared by director Fred Dekker, who praised Noonan\u2019s memorable role as Frankenstein\u2019s monster in The Monster Squad<\/em>. No cause of death has been released.<\/p>\n

Standing 6-foot-5, Noonan became known for intense, often chilling roles, including serial killer Francis Dollarhyde in Manhunter<\/em>. He also appeared in RoboCop 2<\/em>, Last Action Hero<\/em>, and Heat<\/em>, alongside Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. His later work included The Pledge<\/em>, Synecdoche, New York<\/em>, and The House of the Devil<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On television, he had roles in series such as The X-Files<\/em>, Law & Order: Criminal Intent<\/em>, and CSI<\/em>. Beyond acting, he was an accomplished playwright, with works like What Happened Was\u2026<\/em> and The Wife<\/em> adapted for the screen.<\/p>\n
