Suicide is always heartbreaking \u2014 but at just 12 years old, it\u2019s a life that had barely begun.<\/p>\n

A 12-year-old girl from Huntsville, Alabama, died by suicide on February 17. Her family is now sharing her story in hopes of saving other children.<\/p>\n

Known as \u201cSweet Pea,\u201d she was described as bright, protective of her friends, and deeply compassionate. She was active in school activities, loved the arts and sports, and cared deeply for animals. But behind her smile, she was carrying pain.<\/p>\n

Her father had passed away four years earlier \u2014 a loss that deeply affected her. According to her family, she also experienced bullying at school, with classmates cruelly mocking her about her father\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

In her final journal entry, she left a message her family now shares publicly:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s too late for me. Please talk to someone even if they act or look OK. They might make it because of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her parents are urging others to take warning signs seriously and to speak up if they see someone struggling. Experts emphasize that open conversations about mental health can save lives.<\/p>\n
