Pattie Mallette is best known today as the mother of Justin Bieber<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, but her life has been marked by deep hardship long before her son became famous.<\/p>\n

Born in 1975 in Stratford, Ontario, Pattie endured a traumatic childhood, including the tragic death of her sister when she was just two years old. She later revealed years of abuse, substance use as a teenager, and struggles with crime and mental health. At 17, after a period of despair and a suicide attempt, she began rebuilding her life through faith.<\/p>\n

That same year, she gave birth to Justin. Raising him as a single mother in low-income housing, Pattie supported his love for music and entered him into local talent competitions. She famously uploaded his early performances to YouTube, which helped launch his global career.<\/p>\n
