Donald Trump<\/span><\/span> survived an alleged assassination attempt by an Iranian unit, according to U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth<\/span><\/span>, who said the group\u2019s leader was tracked down and killed.<\/p>\n

During a press briefing, Hegseth claimed the U.S., working with Israel Defense Forces<\/span><\/span>, is making major progress in its campaign against Iran following joint strikes launched days earlier. He stated that the operation is still early but aimed at weakening Iran\u2019s military capabilities.<\/p>\n

Hegseth also said allied forces were working toward controlling Iranian airspace within days and emphasized strong counter-drone defenses. He added that the U.S. was winning the conflict \u201cdecisively\u201d and would continue military efforts.<\/p>\n
