For the 2026 Super Bowl, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) created an alternative “All-American Halftime Show” to compete with Bad Bunny’s official performance. TPUSA, founded by the late Charlie Kirk and now led by his widow Erika Kirk, framed the event as celebrating “faith, family, and freedom.”
The lineup included Kid Rock as the main act, along with Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. TPUSA criticized Bad Bunny’s halftime performance on political and cultural grounds.
However, TPUSA announced on X that, due to licensing restrictions, the show could not be streamed there and directed viewers to YouTube at 8 PM ET instead. The announcement drew criticism for lack of planning, with some calling it “amateur hour” and others asking for a direct link.
