The 15-year-old son of billionaire Ronald Perelman and psychiatrist Dr. Anna Chapman has died, Page Six reports. The teen passed away Tuesday night on St. Maarten, reportedly due to a long-term medical condition.
“He was a kind, smart child — very smart, his father’s son,” a source said.
Perelman, 83, founder of MacAndrews & Forbes, married Chapman in 2010; their son Oscar was born via surrogate that year, followed by another child in 2012. Perelman, a major philanthropist in New York, has funded medical institutions including NYU Langone, New York-Presbyterian, and Weill Cornell.
He previously married Faith Golding (1965–1984, four children), Claudia Cohen (1985–1994, one daughter), Patricia Duff (1995, one daughter), and actress Ellen Barkin (2000–2006).
