Since leaving the White House in January, Donald Trump has been living in Florida with Melania and their son Barron. Speculation surrounds a potential 2024 presidential run, but new details from Trump’s tenure have resurfaced.
In her 2021 memoir I’ll Take Your Questions Now, former press secretary Stephanie Grisham shared behind-the-scenes moments, including Trump’s anger at Melania over her “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” jacket during a visit to a migrant facility in Texas. Grisham also criticized Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for breaching protocol and overstepping in White House projects.
Trump dismissed the book as false and politically motivated.
Trump and Melania met in 1998, dated with several breakups, then moved in together in 2001, married in 2005, and had Barron in 2006. Melania, who took a traditional approach to First Lady duties, has said her long marriage works because she didn’t pressure Trump like his previous wives, Ivana and Marla.
